You ready to hunt with the best?
When it was hot, did you rest?
It’s time now for hunting,
And that’s such a fun thing.
These rules will serve as a test.
Do you tromp on some lady’s nice flowers?
Or dig in some poor critter’s bowers?
No, don’t you dare!
The coin is not there.
We only use public land: Ours!
This gold coin won’t be in the water.
(We don’t want to scare up an otter.)
Don’t bother the fish.
How sincere is our wish!
Just walk where you can; that’s an oughta.
Do you need to be high as a kite?
Are you sure that the coin’s in plain sight?
We answer oh, no and oh, yes.
No dig and no water--good guess.
(For goodness’ sake, don’t hunt at night!)
No digging or splashing, no ladders, our land
These rules you should keep in your hand
One rule yet to go,
When looking for dough:
Have fun here in Jordan so grand.

Searching Jordan for some wealth.
No long trek need cause you dread.
Can’t go barefoot through the sand.

Boldly go, no need for stealth.
Cozy homes surround the bed
Where the coin makes its grand stand.
Golden lure makes hunters smart,
Vision: lucre but not pelf.
HEIMATFEST MEDALLION HUNT 2022
Clue Two – 8/15/2022
Jordan town is pretty neat.
Once it vied for county seat.
Maybe best that it’s this way,
Much less traffic on week day.
Homes and churches all nearby.
Safe and comfy while you try
To find a big gold coin reward.
It’s that easy? Well, not hard.
Big old trees and friendly faces
Surround you in these placid places.
Not too far are infrastructures,
But not highways, stores, or lectures.
Picture lunches in the park.
Family fun ere it gets dark.
Walk or drive home: it’s your choice,
Listen for a booming voice.
Heimatfest Medallion Hunt 2022 Clue 3 August 22
Cluester’s job is almost done.
Did you search and have some fun?
Dodge the showers, head downtown.
Look for things that might be brown.
Finders, keepers—Yay, you won!
Step northwest from lower town.
School nearby: it’s town and gown.
Other places are of note,
None are where you’d take a boat.
One is there of great renown.
Strongly though not lately built,
Some days it’s used to the hilt.
Other days it just sits ready,
Purposeful and boldly steady.
Look! There’s something brown and gilt!
Places can be unadorned.
This one’s not, so be forewarned.
Square and stony all around
Within which the coin is found.
Run your hand inside what’s formed.
Seems the hunt is not yet done.
We must go back to square one.
Hunters have been spotted near.
What’s been found is not that clear.
So, what’s new under the sun?
If you’re new to big coin lark,
We won’t leave you in the dark.
Refer to photos of the gold,
Flip side is where you’ll be told
How to show you’ve made your mark.
Searchers homing in on spot
Where the prize is, getting hot,
Persevere in looking closer.
Poke around, it’s not a poser.
Don’t dig, don’t stretch, but bend a lot.
There’s still time if no one’s found it
To get down there and rap to sound it.
Careful with the city’s treasure
Or you’ll pay a greater measure.
There are just no bones about it.
